Pearson Gets 5 Hits
Wednesday, August 5th , 2026
St. Louis (DSL) first baseman Khalil Pearson could do no wrong in his team's 6-4 win over the Orioles 2, as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Orioles 2 skipper Andrew Bicker said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Pearson agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Khalil Pearson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Herrera in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Lupe Delgado in the 9th.
So far this season, Pearson is hitting .588 with 4 home runs.
