Palacios Belts 5 Hits Friday, August 7th , 2026 Vito Palacios exploded for a barrage of base hits at Rate Field. The Chicago A (DSL) left fielder had a field day in his team's 21-1 triumph over the Tampa Bay (DSL) Rays 1, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Palacios must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Vito Palacios hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Palacios on the season is batting .377 with 3 home runs. His totals include 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played in 15 games. |
