Waugh Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Friday, August 7th , 2026 Cory Waugh has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Philadelphia (DSL) shortstop picked up 2 more today against the Seattle (DSL) Mariners and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Phillies Red won the game, 16-11. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Cory Waugh struck out in the 6th, struck out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. To date this season, Waugh is hitting .376 with 6 home runs. |
