Kansas City (DSL) Halts Neveu's Hitting Steak Saturday, August 8th , 2026 It was the best of both worlds for the Kansas City (DSL) Royals 1 at Royals 1 Stadium, as they defeated the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals Red, 5-2, and also snapped Dan Neveu's 20-game hitting streak. The 22-year-old St. Louis (DSL) first baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Neveu, we just wanted to win the game," said Royals 1 skipper Chris Young. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Neveu frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." This season, Neveu has hit 1 home run and posted a .381 batting average. |
