Palermo Belts 5 Hits Thursday, August 13th , 2026 It was a good day for the Cubs 1 at American Family Field as they clipped the Milwaukee (DSL) Brewers, 12-3. It was tremendous day for Gavino Palermo, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-5. "I don't know what to call that," the Chicago N (DSL) left fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Gavino Palermo singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Miguel Barreto in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Palermo is hitting .337 so far this season with 26 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 63 hits including 6 home runs, 11 walks and .380 OBP. |
