Flahive Swings for the Cycle
Monday, August 17th , 2026
John Flahive roughed up Boston (DSL) Red Sox 2 pitching in a big way at Red Sox 2 Park, leading the Minnesota (DSL) to a win, 11-5.
With his parents and family watching from the stands, the 18-year-old right fielder put on a magnificent show, hitting for the cycle -- collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game.
"It was a good day for that to happen," a beaming Flahive said after the game. "I really got some good looks and delivered. Sometimes you're just on."
He finished his historic day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 2 runs batted in and 4 runs scored.
John Flahive tripled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off David Warnock in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
This year, Flahive has hit at a .333 pace and produced 8 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 10 runs.
