Chicago N (DSL)-San Francisco (DSL) Brawl, Flores and Portwood Suspended Tuesday, August 18th , 2026 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Chicago N (DSL)-San Francisco (DSL) contest at Giants 2 Field. The Cubs 1 Alex Flores and the Giants 2 Mark Portwood will have to sit out 3 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Flores on the season is hitting .303 with 9 home runs. His stats include 24 RBIs and 19 runs scored. Thus far this season, Portwood has worked 16.1 innings with 15 strikeouts en route to a 0-2 record and a 6.61 ERA. |
