Colorado (DSL) Halts Silva's Hitting Steak Wednesday, August 19th , 2026 It was a doubly miserable day for Eduardo Silva of the Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers Guerrero, as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 11-8, to the Colorado (DSL) Rockies 2 at Los Angeles (DSL) Grounds. The 22-year-old first baseman was held hitless in 2 at-bats by the Rockies 2. "Anyone on a 20-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Colorado (DSL) manager Nick Glaser said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." This year, Silva has collected a .372 batting average to date with 55 hits in 148 at-bats, 14 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 13 times. He has played in 36 games. |
