Friday, August 21st , 2026
After an intense confrontation, both the White Sox Dwayne Mitchell and the Rockies 2 Bill Harless were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Chicago A (DSL)-Colorado (DSL) game. Dwayne Mitchell will miss 4 games, while Bill Harless was suspended for 2 games.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Dwayne Mitchell commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
Mitchell is currently batting .357 with 4 home runs, 13 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 112 at-bats.
This season, Harless has a 1-2 record with a 6.96 ERA.
