Rays 2 Chill Cantu Hot Streak Friday, August 21st , 2026 The Tampa Bay (DSL) Rays 2 got more than the 4-2 victory at Rays 2 Park -- they also put an end to the 22-game hitting streak of Cleveland (DSL) Guardians 1 first baseman Roberto Cantu by holding him without a hit in 4 at-bats. After the game, Cantu seemed more concerned with his team taking the loss than with the demise of his streak. "I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit," he said. "I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today." Currently Cantu is batting .344 with 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 40 runs scored. |
