Tony Espinoza of the Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 1 had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 15-7 win over the Seattle (DSL) Mariners at Orioles 1 Field. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Tony Espinoza hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. This season, Espinoza is swinging the bat at a .354 rate with 75 hits in 212 at-bats. To date he has hit 5 home runs, scored 32 runs and driven in 37. |
