Tampa Bay (DSL) Halts Nakatsuka's Hitting Steak Tuesday, August 25th , 2026 It just wasn't Eisaku Nakatsuka's day. The Colorado (DSL) Rockies 1 grabbed the 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay (DSL) Rays 2, but the Rays 2 mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 22-game hitting streak of Rockies 1 shortstop Eisaku Nakatsuka. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Nakatsuka," Tampa Bay (DSL) manager Aaron Quinn commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Rockies 1 have other hitters and they did their job today." This season, Nakatsuka has posted a batting average of .358 with 57 hits in 159 at-bats, 16 home runs and 47 RBIs. He has also scored 38 runs, walked 6 times and compiled a .389 OBP. |
