Hurtado Keeps Hit Streak Alive Wednesday, August 26th , 2026 Alex Hurtado collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Chicago A (DSL) White Sox, beat the Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers Guerrero, 9-4. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Hurtado quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Alex Hurtado struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Leo Garcia in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. So far in 2026 Hurtado is batting .378 with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 37 hits in 98 at-bats and a .460 OBP. |
