Baumann Torches Tigers 2 for 5 Hits Wednesday, August 26th , 2026 Kevin Baumann did a number on the Tigers 2 in the 22-5 DSL victory -- and the number was 5. The Athletics third baseman banged out 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Sutter Health Park to lead his club past the Detroit (DSL) Tigers 2. "I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Kevin Baumann struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. This year, Baumann has hit at a .327 clip with 80 hits, 9 home runs, 41 RBIs and 54 runs scored. |
