Reds-Blue Jays Trade: Mayhue for Marrufo Tuesday, July 28th , 2026 The Reds and Blue Jays pulled the trigger on a deal that will see 22-year old minor league 1B Eric Mayhue and 20-year old minor league LF Sam Nelson head to Toronto in exchange for 30-year old RHP Dave Marrufo and $350,000 in cash. A source close to Cincinnati officials said, "The teams spent long hours coming to the agreement and in the end, both agreed the deal should help both clubs." This season, he has made 28 relief appearances, collecting 1 save. Marrufo has worked 52.2 innings, yielding 55 hits and giving out 27 free passes while striking out 58.
