Washington-Boston Trade: McIlwain for Carrizales Friday, July 31st , 2026 Today at a press conference the Washington Nationals announced a trade has been completed with the Boston Red Sox. The Nationals have shipped 27-year old RHP Kevin McIlwain and $260,000 in cash to the Red Sox for 21-year old minor league CF Eli Carrizales and 21-year old minor league CF Jessie Cashion. Washington will retain a portion of McIlwain's remaining contract. This year, his season stats show McIlwain has 2 saves in 28 relief appearances with a 1-1 record and 3.77 ERA. |
