Deal: Radzik for Smathers Friday, July 31st , 2026 The Twins and Yankees announced a deal that was completed today. Minnesota sent 29-year old minor league SS Humberto Rodriguez and 23-year old minor league 2B Josh Radzik to New York for 25-year old RHP Adam Smathers. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved. So far this year, Smathers has made 20 relief appearances with 7 saves, thrown 91.1 innings and struck out 53 with a 4-5 record. |
