Los Angeles-Texas Deal Confirmed Friday, July 31st , 2026 The Los Angeles Angels announced a deal with the Rangers today, sending 34-year old RHP William Gomez and 17-year old minor league LHP Alejandro Ybarra to Texas for 29-year old 3B Jordan Tapia and $2,580,000 in cash. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly. Tapia on the season is batting .262 with 8 home runs. His totals include 32 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has played in 96 games. |
