Astros, Lopez Blank Detroit, 5-0 Wednesday, August 12th , 2026 Houston Astros starter Guadalupe Lopez really did a number on the Detroit Tigers, shutting them out, 5-0, on 2 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 10 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Detroit manager Ed Prudhomme. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Lopez."
