Baesman Runs Hit String to 30 Straight Games Monday, August 17th , 2026 Dave Baesman continued his streak at Busch Stadium, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The St. Louis center fielder was 1-for-1 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 30 games. The Cardinals were not as fortunate, losing, 5-3, to the Washington Nationals. "Baesman was hitting everything we threw at him," said Washington manager John Galenski. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Dave Baesman singled in the 8th. On the year, Baesman is hitting .377 with 20 hits, no home runs, 7 RBIs, .421 OBP and has scored 6 runs. |
