Braun Sizzles in No-Hitter Sunday, August 30th , 2026 Is it better to be lucky or good? After leading the Boston Red Sox to victory, 10-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Toronto Blue Jays, Dave Braun didn't have the answer. "I don't know," Braun said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both." On his big day at Fenway Park, Braun fanned 9 and had 2 walks. And it seemed that when the Blue Jays managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender. "That's how you get a no-hitter," Braun said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."
