Reliever Snags AL Top Hurler Trophy Tuesday, September 1st , 2026 When Jonathan Jackson strolls in from the bullpen, he is a good bet to nail down the victory for the Detroit Tigers. That's the way it was last month as he performed his job in an almost flawless fashion. Today he was honored as August's Pitcher of the Month by the American League. The Detroit pitcher compiled a 1-1 record, 10 saves, 18 strikeouts and a 0.71 ERA in 12.2 innings over 13 relief appearances. Jackson has made 51 games so far this year with 33 saves. In 52.1 innings he has dished out 47 strikeouts and walked 16 with a 6-6 mark and a 2.75 ERA. |
