Dusty Slaughter, the Los Angeles Dodgers 23-year-old catcher, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for National League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 11 hits in 19 at-bats, compiling a .579 average with 4 home runs and 8 RBIs. This season, Slaughter has hit at a .326 clip and produced 82 runs batted in, 30 home runs and 78 runs. |
