Rodriguez Smacks 5 Hits for Pirates Gold Monday, August 3rd , 2026 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Pittsburgh (FCL)'s 8-3 win over Atlanta (FCL), shortstop Rafael Rodriguez was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Pirates Gold Ballpark. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Rodriguez said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Rafael Rodriguez doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 7th. |
