Super Swinger -- Carpio Slams 5 Hits Saturday, August 8th , 2026 The St. Louis (FCL) Cardinals swept past the New York N (FCL) Mets, 10-1, at Busch Stadium, paced by third baseman David Carpio. The 19-year-old Carpio got 5 hits in 5 at-bats, helping to down the Mets. David Carpio hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. Thus far this year, Carpio has hit .375 with no home runs and 7 RBIs. |
