Great Day for Pickering -- 5 Hits Tuesday, August 11th , 2026 Houston (FCL) Astros third baseman Stephen Pickering banged out 5 hits, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the Detroit E (FCL) Tigers East, 13-5. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points. "If the hits keep coming," an upbeat Pickering said after the game, "the runs will too. And, more importantly, so will the wins." Stephen Pickering singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Li-ben Lao in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This year, Pickering has hit at a .417 clip with 8 RBIs, 3 home runs and 9 runs scored. |
